Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis is a common condition in which a person sweats excessively. It can affect the whole of your body but in most cases is localised to specific areas including the armpits, palms of your hands, soles of your feet, face, chest and groin. There are no guidelines to determine what "normal" sweating is, but if you feel you sweat too much and your sweating has started to interfere with your everyday daily life, you may benefit from treatment.Botox is used to treat hyperhidrosis and works by temporarily blocking the nerves that supply the eccrine grands, preventing them from producing sweat. Treatment needs to be repeated every 3-6 months to retain the effects.
